Actividad Aceitunero por un día La Cantona

Information

The activity

Where does olive oil come from?

We all know that olive oil comes from olives. And that they must be ground to obtain the oil. But how do olive trees and olives grow? How is the harvest carried out?

For those who want to learn more about this and other issues related to olive oil production and olive groves, La Cantona offers the OLIVE GROWERS FOR A DAY activity.

This activity takes place in Marmolejo, Jaén, on the Cortijo Maroto estate, an olive grove from which the EVOO marketed by the La Cantona Traditional Olive Oil brand comes.

Activities:

On this day, visitors can explore an organically farmed olive grove and experience the work carried out there during harvest time. A day of interaction will allow us to learn about the olive growth cycle, the care of an organic olive grove, and the development of the harvest. We will also experience the work of olive growers, harvesting our own olives.

There will also be time to taste the exquisite La Cantona extra virgin olive oil from the Cortijo Maroto olive grove, enjoy a country-style lunch under the olive trees, and chat with the owners about the estate and the olive grove's flora and fauna.

Finally, we'll take home a liter of La Cantona extra virgin olive oil, along with the unique memories of a singular experience: a day in the countryside enjoying a centuries-old rural activity.
